people from all around the city come together from their jobs, their chores, their other duties, for 20 minutes to watch lights in the sky. It's fascinating. The light show was as spectacular as the freedom I got when I got to leave and move away to college. Listening to Owen play soft, serene harmonies, just to get the Fourth of July mood started. Absolutely divine.
It will be my last summer in Walnut, if my calculations are correct. Next summer, my apartment lease will still be alive until September of 2009. You know what that means...damn, I need a transportation vehicle. Oh, and parties, of course. Hah. This summer will be the last summer that I'll have to deal with parents who want me home every second of the day, and having them nagging me to clean my room, and being told what to do. I can't say that I won't miss it, because I honestly will. But I guess it's my time to fly. So if you're around next summer, give me a holler. My door will be open for an entire year. Just bring me some food or something.
